 media technology business case

Technology is a major player in the media space. What technologies do you think are most relevant to Red Bull Media House over the next 3 years to continue our growth and stay relevant in an ever changing climate?

feature films

When professional mountain biker Paul Basagoitia suffered a devastating spinal cord injury (SCI) at the 2015 edition of Red Bull Rampage, his life changed in an instant. Upon discovering he was paralyzed, Paul began a grueling battle against his own body and mind, in the hope of one day being able to walk again. In “Any One of Us,” the latest documentary film from Red Bull Media House, his excruciating recovery unfolds in real time through raw, intimate footage—much of which was filmed by Paul himself—as we see him fight through the agonies of an unpredictable journey and uncertain future. Learn more about the film here.

I was lucky enough to help out as post-production process wrapped up during the end of my internship. I helped in the process of updating the shot list between the penultimate and final version of the film, fixed some of the motion graphic cards on After Effects, and did a quick QC report to ensure that there were no glaring mistakes in the film. The film itself is incredibly emotional and provides a uplifting perspective on spinal injury and perseverance after tragic incidents. The content remains unapologetically raw.

social media

I was given the task to create a one-off piece on an unreleased ongoing series which takes Red Bull Athletes and places them in the high performance gym at the headquarters Santa Monica. The video features two highly regarded players in the gaming community, Plup and Anakin, and places them in an athletic competition with their manager here at Red Bull. I was given 15 minutes of raw footage and was told to create an amusing deliverable for our social media pages. It hasn’t been uploaded yet, so stay tuned and I’ll link it as soon as I can.
